my story
My name is Benjamin Bailey, but I go by my middle name Lucas. I am a technical artist with a focus on lighting, compositing, and rendering. I study Visualization at Texas A&M University with a focus on animation and gaming. In high school, I was inspired by Disney’s short film “Inner Workings” to pursue animation. It was one of the first times an animated piece connected with me on a personal level. It is my goal that my work life and my passion go hand in hand, rather than be two separate pursuits as depicted in the short. I hope that the work I create inspires viewers to ask more questions and to seek joy in life.
I grew up in small-town Groesbeck, Texas, and graduated from Groesbeck High School. A week before my high school graduation I received an Associate’s Degree from Navarro College in General Studies. I have a leadership position at the Baptist Student Ministry here in College Station and I am always looking for areas where I can contribute my skills and my time.
